Description

Lilith is one of Isahakian's masterpieces in prose, and it is well know to Armenians. In the present volume the first English translation of Lilith is presented as part of bilingual, Armenian-English parallel text. Written in 1921, Lilith is narrated in lyrical poetic style. This story originated from a Jewish legend based on one of two versions of Creation, according to which God, before creating Eve, bestowed Adam with the charming Lilith, whom he created from fire.
